We have lots of jobs that need doing at the Lodge over the summer. If you have any free time and can help with a job even if for an hour or two that would be great.

• Erect climbing wall
• Install additional fencing pales on bridge
• Paint external fencing at front – can pop in and do a bit at any time
• Put together racking for garage
• Paint container
• Clean kitchen
• Erect cooking shelters – dig post holes, erect uprights, roof etc.
• Clear gutters

Wednesday Scouts have been fundraising for the new bench at the lodge that a group of their scouts built before summer. They raised over £120 for the bench and completed their fundraising with a table at a car boot sale selling off donated items that raised £61.

Well done everyone!

A combined 1^st Royal Forest group of Scouts enjoyed a weekend of camping and activities to test their teamwork, skills and navigation at Strategy 2023.

During a very hot weekend the Scouts were part of 2,500 young people at Cirencester Park camping under canvas and demonstrating just what it means to be part of Scouting. Well done to all those who took part and thank you to the leaders and volunteers that enabled the whole event.

Well done to our Fete organizing team of Ang, Kerry, Louise and Alison on a very well organized event.

Shame we didn’t get the numbers we hoped for but still a great day with lots of activities for those that did come which they enjoyed.
Soak the Young Leader/Group Chair went down well and the duck race down the river was great fun at the end.

Please take time to support the group at these events as they raise much needed funds for equipment which enables us to keep subs as low as we can.

Lots of fun was had by Wednesday Scouts recently at Forest Climbing.

Scouts had to work in pairs to find corks hidden on the holds and really enjoyed the competition element at the end of the session, trying to beat the other team.

Wednesday Scouts have been fundraising for a new picnic bench at Beaver Lodge. Scouts were challenged to complete helpful tasks for family and friends in exchange for 20p’s which they collected in Smartie tubes.

The picnic  bench was built from scratch,  under the guidance of group Chairperson Steve.

The team of builders worked brilliantly together on a lovely sunny afternoon, learning lots of new skills. We are very proud of the end result.

SATURDAY, JULY 15, 2023

Great event organised by Scouts Hereford and Worcester.
We had teams in the 20k and 40k routes across some great countryside. An early start from Beaver lodge for the drive to Eastnor Castle and registration. Then up onto the Malvern hills across to the British Camp before looping back round to the start at Eastnor Castle.

Well done to all those that took part, excellent effort all round!

Squirrels and Beavers 13.00 to 14.30
Cubs 15.00 to 16.30
